Women worry more than men- Research reveals

A recent study found that women are more anxious than men worldwide. The study also found that more anxiety increased their risk of heart attack. The study was conducted by the University of Cambridge in the UK.

Studies have shown that women have a higher risk of heart attack than men. This is because women are much more anxious. Young people are second on the list of anxious people, they too are much more anxious compared to experienced men.

Anxiety is usually caused by excessive thinking, fear and social stress.”

But why women face this more than men? That may be due to hormonal variations and changes in brain chemistry. Hormonal modifications due to anxiety have been linked to reproductive events in a woman’s life. The spike in oestrogen and progesterone that happens during pregnancy will increase the risk of obsessive compulsive disorder, which is marked by intrusive and repeated feelings, urges, and obsessions.

Women and men seem to perceive and respond to events in their lives differently, in addition to biological processes. Women are also susceptible to depression, which may exacerbate distress. In addition, when confronted with challenging scenarios, men and women use various coping mechanisms.

When confronted by life stressors, women are more likely to pause and reflect on them, which may exacerbate fear, while men are more likely to participate or get involved, problem-focused coping. According to other research, women are more likely than men to be subjected to physical and emotional violence, and abuse has been attributed to the development of anxiety disorders.

Changes in brain chemistry and development have been linked to child abuse, and previous evidence suggests that women who have been sexually abused may have irregular blood flow in the hippocampus, a brain area involved with emotion production.

The study also found that people living in Western Europe and North America were relatively more anxious than anyone else in the world. On the other hand, young people up to the age of 35 are more prone to anxiety. After the age of 35, the amount of anxiety decreases in men. But in the case of women, it is quite the opposite. That is why it’s especially necessary for women to take care of themselves.

What is the way forward?

Anxiety problems usually begin early in childhood, are recurring, and can last for more than a decade between the onset of symptoms and the first visit to the doctor. Anxiety has been very serious at this stage, and other mental health issues, such as depression, have emerged. This makes recovery of any of the diseases even more difficult.

It’s important to recognize signs early so that care can be provided. Many individuals have resorted to cognitive behavioral therapy, which has been shown to be helpful in the treatment of anxiety. There is also medicine, as well as lifestyle improvements such as daily physical exercise, mindfulness therapy, and yoga that can help people improve their mental health.
